Bookings

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmed upon receipt of full payment or deposit as specified at time of booking. Tindasel reserves the right to decline any booking.

Payment

Payment terms are specified at the time of booking. We accept major credit cards. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.

Security Deposit & Incidentals

To ensure a smooth stay and to protect the property, Tindasel – The Farm reserves the right to place a pre-authorization hold (security deposit) on the guest's payment card prior to or upon check-in. This is not a charge and no funds are withdrawn from the account unless required.

The security deposit may be used to cover, but is not limited to:

• Damage to rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment, or other hotel property.
• Missing or stolen items.
• Excessive cleaning required beyond normal housekeeping.
• Smoking or vaping inside guest rooms or indoor areas.
• Unpaid restaurant, bar, minibar, or other incidental charges.
• Any other costs arising from a breach of these Terms & Conditions.

The amount of the security deposit may vary depending on the room category or reservation type:

• Standard Rooms: Up to ISK 75,000
• Superior Rooms: Up to ISK 100,000
• Deluxe Rooms: Up to ISK 150,000

Tindasel reserves the right to adjust, reduce, waive, or increase the security deposit requirement based on the reservation, booking channel, length of stay, group size, or other reasonable risk factors.

All guest rooms are inspected by our housekeeping team immediately following check-out. If damage or unpaid incidentals are identified, Tindasel may retain all or part of the security deposit while the matter is assessed. Where necessary, an independent repair specialist may be engaged to determine the cost of repair or replacement.

If the final documented costs are less than the amount held, any remaining balance will be released promptly to the original payment method. If the documented costs exceed the security deposit, the guest remains responsible for the full amount.

By checking in and providing a payment card, the guest authorizes Tindasel – The Farm to process charges for documented damage, missing items, unpaid incidentals, or other amounts owed in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

Cancellation Policy

Full Buyout: (Exclusive Use of the Property)

Reservations that include exclusive use of the property require advance planning of staffing, dining, and experiences.

• A 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking.
• The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation Terms:

• More than 90 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total booking value is non-refundable.
• Less than 90 days prior to arrival: 100% of the booking is non-refundable.

*Date changes may be considered more than 90 days prior to arrival, subject to availability.

Accommodation-Only Bookings

For reservations that include accommodation only:

• More than 14 days prior to arrival: full refund
• 7–14 days prior to arrival: 50% of the booking is non-refundable
• Less than 7 days prior to arrival: 100% of the booking is non-refundable

*In the event of a no-show or early departure, the full stay will be charged.

Changes to reservations may be made up to 14 days prior to arrival, subject to availability.

Packages & Experiences

Bookings that include activities, private services, or curated packages require additional coordination with partners and suppliers.

• A 50% deposit is required upon confirmation
• Full payment is due 30 days prior to arrival

Cancellation Terms:

• More than 30 days prior to arrival: deposit is non-refundable
• 14–30 days prior to arrival: 70% of the total booking value is non-refundable
• Less than 14 days prior to arrival: 100% of the booking is non-refundable

Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond our control, such as extreme weather or travel restrictions, bookings may be rescheduled within 12 months, subject to availability. Refunds are not guaranteed.

Packages & Activities

All activities are subject to weather conditions and availability. Tindasel reserves the right to substitute activities of equivalent value. Secure your activities in advance — availability is limited.

Guest Responsibilities

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property during their stay. Tindasel is a smoke-free and pet-free property. Check-in is from 15:00. Check-out is at 11:00.

Liability

Tindasel is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained during activities or on the property, except where required by law. Guests participate in adventure activities at their own risk.
